If you look at the photo of the sling on the rifle, you will see a wire loop at the top, that is the parade loop. One is on the front of the trigger guard and the other is on the the bottom of the butt stock, I am using the the trigger guard point which means that I have mine set up for parade, it is easier to store it that way in the safe. Like the Gew98, on the M there should be two attachment points for the detachable swivel, one on the butt with no permanent swivel loop and one at the front of the trigger guard loop. The Chilean M had the same sling swivel arrangement as the German Gew98 - the sling came with a detachable swivel as show by mm's excellent example and was a direct copy of the pre-WW1 German Gew88 and Gew98 sling.
